Experience My India's Same Day Ayodhya Tour Package is built for pilgrims who have one day in Ram Nagri and want to cover the whole Ramayana circuit without wasting an hour on closed gates or wrong turns. We start before dawn with Hanuman Garhi's 76 steps, reach Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir at the 7:00 AM opening when the queue is shortest, then move through Kanak Bhawan, Dashratha Mahal, Suryakund and Nageshwarnath in the tight Ramkot core. The one thing most first-timers get wrong: both Ram Mandir and Hanuman Garhi shut for a midday break, so our guide uses that exact window to drive you out to Guptar Ghat, where Lord Ram is believed to have taken jal samadhi, and Nandigram, where Bharat ruled during the exile - sites you cannot reach on foot. The day closes at Ram Ki Paidi for the evening Saryu Aarti, the moment most guests remember longest. For your date's per-person price, WhatsApp +91-7302265809.

Ayodhya rewards an early start more than almost any pilgrimage town in India: the core temples open by dawn, the 76 steps at Hanuman Garhi are cool and empty, and you clear Ram Mandir before the mid-morning rush. Our AC cab and guide meet you at your hotel, Ayodhya Dham Junction or Maharishi Valmiki Airport.
Tradition in Ayodhya is specific: you take Hanuman's blessing before you approach Ram's sanctum. This 10th-century hilltop temple houses the child form of Hanuman, Bal Hanuman, in Anjani's lap, and the climb is 76 stone steps - no lift. The temple is built like a four-sided fort with circular ramparts at each corner, and tradition links its founding to the saint Tulsidas, which is why pilgrims call it the garhi, the fortress that Hanuman himself guards.
Practical note
Photography is banned inside the top complex - leave your phone with the guide before the courtyard. On Tuesdays and Saturdays (Hanuman days) the queue is longer, so we arrive even earlier.
The Ram Mandir, consecrated on 22 January 2024, stands at the believed birthplace of Lord Rama. General darshan opens at 7:00 AM and the 7:00-11:00 AM window has the shortest queue of the day, so we time your arrival for the opening and the darshan of Ram Lalla stays calm rather than a crush. Early risers can request a free Mangala Aarti pass for the 4:00-4:30 AM awakening ceremony - the most sacred aarti of the day and the least crowded - which Experience My India books on the official portal well ahead.
Practical note
Phones, cameras, smartwatches, leather and bags are not allowed inside - deposit them at the free lockers before the first security checkpoint. Budget about two hours for security, the roughly 500-metre corridor and the queue.
Kanak Bhawan, the Golden Palace, honours Ram and Sita and is famous for the story of Queen Kaikeyi gifting a golden palace to Sita. Its idols wear real gold crowns, and the painted interiors are among the most striking in Ayodhya. It also stays open through the midday hours when the bigger temples close - useful to know.
Distance
About 700-900 metres from Hanuman Garhi, an easy walk through the Ramkot lanes.
Believed to be the palace of King Dasharatha, Lord Rama's father, this site carries the atmosphere of the Kosala court through its ornate facade, resident sadhus and continuous kirtan. It is small but rich in Ramayana history.
Distance
Roughly 1 km / 15 minutes on foot from Hanuman Garhi; the nearby Sita Rasoi (Sita's kitchen) is a quick add-on your guide will point out.
A sacred pond near the Ram temple, Suryakund is revered for its cleansing waters, and devotees traditionally purify themselves here before darshan. It is a short, calm stop that most rushed day-tours skip entirely.
Practical note
A brief 15-20 minute visit; steps down to the water can be slippery, so we take it slowly with senior guests.
Dedicated to Lord Shiva and said to be established by Kush, Lord Rama's son, Nageshwarnath is one of Ayodhya's most ancient shrines and sits close to the river. It is said Kush lost his armlet in the Sarayu and a Nag-Kanya returned it; in gratitude he built this shrine, which makes it one of the few structures carrying Ayodhya's most ancient memory.
Distance
About 300 metres from Ram Ki Paidi, so we pair the two.
A long series of ghats on the Sarayu, roughly 1.2 km from the Ram Mandir. In the morning it is peaceful - pilgrims taking a ritual dip, the Lata Mangeshkar Chowk nearby - and it sets up your return here at dusk for the aarti. These are the same ghats that host Ayodhya's record-breaking Deepotsav, when more than 22 lakh earthen lamps were lit along the Sarayu on the 2023 eve of Diwali.
Practical note
The water is released and pumped daily and can be muddy; stay on the maintained steps and keep bags closed against monkeys.
Both Ram Mandir and Hanuman Garhi close around midday, so instead of standing at shut gates we break for a pure-veg thali and then drive out to the two Ramayana sites you cannot reach on foot.
About 8-10 km from the core (around 3 km upstream by river), Guptar Ghat is revered as the place where Lord Rama took jal samadhi and left the mortal world. It is far quieter than Ram Ki Paidi - a place for reflection, an optional short boat ride and a dip in clear Sarayu water. The long colonnaded steps and the small Vijayraghav Mandir beside them make this the most unhurried stop of the day, and the point where guests who came only for the temples often slow down for the first time.
Practical note
The boat and dip are paid locally; your guide helps you agree the fare before you step onto the boat, and the current is stronger here than at the city ghats, so bathing is done from the steps.
About 15 km south of Ayodhya, Nandigram is where Bharat ruled during Lord Rama's fourteen-year exile, keeping Rama's paduka (sandals) on the throne and living as a hermit outside the capital until his brother returned - one of the Ramayana's most moving chapters. The Bharat-Hanuman temple and the Bharat Kund sarovar mark the spot, and because so few day-tours come this far, you often have it almost to yourself.
Practical note
This is the farthest point of the day; on a slower or elderly group we discuss trimming it in advance so the evening aarti is never rushed.
We return to the ghats for the evening Saryu Aarti - rows of lamps, synchronised chanting and a crowd that gathers as the sky turns from orange to black. Comparable in scale to the Ganga Aarti in Varanasi, it is, for most guests, the emotional high point of the whole day. The tour concludes after the aarti.
Practical note
The aarti time shifts with the season (roughly 5:45-6:45 PM) - we confirm the exact time for your date and seat you before it begins. A laser show follows around 7:30 PM if you wish to stay.

Everything you need to know about your pilgrimage with Experience My India.
The package includes an AC cab for the full day, an expert local Ayodhya guide, a vegetarian lunch, all temple darshan assistance, Sugam Darshan e-pass booking help for the Ram Mandir, and reserved timing for the evening Saryu Aarti. Flights, trains, hotel and personal offerings are not included. WhatsApp Experience My India at +91-7302265809 for the exact inclusions on your date.
The Same Day Ayodhya Tour Package is priced per person, and the rate drops as your group grows, with a special group rate for 10 or more. Because it depends on your group size and pickup point, Experience My India shares the exact per-person figure on WhatsApp. Message +91-7302265809 with your date and number of travellers and we reply within 30 minutes.
This is a single full day. Experience My India starts at 5:30 AM with Hanuman Garhi, reaches Ram Janmabhoomi at the 7:00 AM opening, then covers Kanak Bhawan, Dashratha Mahal, Suryakund, Nageshwarnath and Ram Ki Paidi. The midday temple closure is used for Guptar Ghat, Nandigram and lunch, and the day ends with the evening Saryu Aarti.
Yes. Experience My India keeps the AC cab with you all day and walks at your group's pace, not the tour's. The only real climb is Hanuman Garhi's 76 steps, where a paalki at fixed rates is available at the base. For slower groups we prioritise the core temples and the Saryu Aarti over the 15 km run to Nandigram. WhatsApp +91-7302265809 with any mobility needs before booking.
Fly into Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhya, or take a train to Ayodhya Dham Junction, and Experience My India plans the tour around your arrival day. Just WhatsApp +91-7302265809 with your city, travel date and group size. We confirm your pickup point, book the Sugam Darshan pass in advance, and reply within 30 minutes.
General darshan of Ram Lalla is completely free - no pass is required and no one should charge you. A free Sugam Darshan e-pass on the official srjbtkshetra.org portal shortens the queue, and Experience My India books it for you. Phones, cameras and leather are banned inside; deposit them at the free lockers before the first security checkpoint.
Experience My India provides a private AC cab for the entire day, including the runs out to Guptar Ghat and Nandigram that you cannot do on foot. Inside the Ramkot core, private cars stop at the Ram Janmabhoomi Path junction, so the final 200-400 metres to the temples is on foot, with e-rickshaws (about Rs 20-30) available in the lanes.
Experience My India keeps cancellation flexible for a same-day tour. Since Sugam Darshan and aarti passes are date-specific, we ask for firm travel dates, and cancellations made with reasonable advance notice are accommodated without difficulty. If your plans change, message us early. WhatsApp +91-7302265809 to confirm the terms for your date before you book.
Yes. Experience My India adjusts the sequence to your priorities - add extra sites, drop the 15 km Nandigram leg, focus on darshan over sightseeing, or plan around a specific Aarti pass. If you are travelling with elderly parents or young children, tell us and we rebuild the day. WhatsApp +91-7302265809 and we shape the tour before you arrive.
Booking takes one message. WhatsApp Experience My India at +91-7302265809 with your travel date, group size and pickup city. We reply within 30 minutes with the price, confirm your pickup point, and book your Sugam Darshan pass. No advance payment is taken until your plan is confirmed in writing.

What travel guides don't tell you before you arrive.
Most blogs tell you the Ram Mandir is open all day and darshan is easy. Both halves are misleading, and both cost pilgrims their darshan.
First, the timing. General darshan of Ram Lalla runs in two sessions - roughly 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM - with the temple closed in between for the Bhog offering and the deity's rest. Any group that arrives between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM finds the gates shut. The 7:00-11:00 AM window has the shortest queue, which is exactly why Experience My India times your arrival for the 7:00 AM opening and puts Hanuman Garhi ahead of it at 5:45 AM, not after.
Second, the security. Mobile phones, cameras, smartwatches, leather items and bags are not permitted inside. Free lockers sit before the first security checkpoint - but pilgrims who don't know this arrive at the gate holding a phone and get turned back to the locker queue, losing 20-30 minutes. Between the locker, the screening, the roughly 500-metre corridor and the darshan line, budget about two hours for the temple alone.
Third, the cost - and this is where money changes hands wrongly. General darshan is completely free. A Sugam Darshan e-pass, booked only on the official srjbtkshetra.org portal, cuts the general queue from roughly 60-90 minutes to about 30-45. There is no political VIP entrance and no priest connection that legitimately skips security. Anyone outside the gate offering guaranteed VIP darshan for cash is a tout selling nothing. Experience My India books only through the official Sugam Darshan and Aarti-pass channel, and for a Mangala or Shringar Aarti we tell you to request that free pass 10-15 days ahead, because inner-area numbers are strictly capped.
Get this wrong and you lose the morning. Get it right - early arrival, phone in the locker, official pass - and Ram Lalla darshan on a same-day tour is calm, not chaotic.
Almost every guest books this tour for the Ram Mandir. Almost every guest tells us afterward that the Saryu Aarti was the moment they didn't expect to feel.
On paper, Ram Ki Paidi is a series of ghats with an evening aarti. In person, as the light drops, something shifts. The priests take their positions along the steps, the first lamps are lit, and the chanting starts low and then rises until it is coming off the water and the stone on both sides of the river. The lamps are waved in a fixed sequence, and when the whole ghat lifts the aarti thali together, the reflection on the still Sarayu makes it look as though the river itself is on fire. People who came for a photo stop put their phones down.
What surprises pilgrims most is the emotion. This is the river of Lord Rama's own departure from the world, and standing on its banks at nightfall, many find themselves quietly in tears without quite knowing why. In our WhatsApp feedback, the Saryu Aarti - not the grand temple - is the single moment guests describe most often, and the word that comes up again and again is peace. Elderly guests, who have spent a lifetime hearing the Ramayana, often say this is the closest they have ever felt to it.
Rajeev Sharma and the Experience My India Ayodhya team know the crowd builds fast, so we position your group early, on the side with the clearest view across to the lamps, and settle you before the chanting begins rather than pushing in once it has started. You watch the aarti as a participant, not from the back of a scrum. After hundreds of evenings here, the reaction that still moves our own guide is the silence - a ghat full of people, and for a few minutes, no one speaks.
One insider tip: the single biggest thing that derails a same-day Ayodhya trip is the 11:30 AM-2:00 PM temple closure. First-timers waste it queuing at locked gates; Experience My India spends it on Guptar Ghat, Nandigram and lunch, so nothing on your list gets dropped.
Senior citizen note: Hanuman Garhi's 76 steps are the only real physical demand - a paalki at fixed posted rates is available at the base, and we arrange it in advance. The AC cab stays with you all day, and for guests who tire we prioritise the core Ramkot temples and the Saryu Aarti over the 15 km run to Nandigram.
Pro tip: Our local guides know these nuances intimately. They navigate crowds, time the darshan, handle protocols and share the stories textbooks miss.

The practical details that make the difference on the day.
Ram Mandir and Hanuman Garhi both close around midday (roughly 11:30 AM-2:00 PM) - Experience My India spends that window on Guptar Ghat, Nandigram and lunch instead of queuing at shut gates.
Phones, cameras, smartwatches and leather are not allowed inside the Ram Mandir sanctum - deposit them at the free lockers before the first security checkpoint or you will be sent back.
Hanuman Garhi is a climb of 76 stone steps with no lift; a paalki (palanquin) at fixed posted rates is available at the base for anyone who can't manage them - tell us in advance and we arrange it.
Private cars stop at the Ram Janmabhoomi Path junction; the last 200-400 metres through Ramkot's lanes is on foot, and e-rickshaws in the area cost about Rs 20-30 per ride.
General Ram Lalla darshan is 100% free - anyone selling VIP tickets near the gate is a tout; Experience My India books only the official Sugam Darshan e-pass on srjbtkshetra.org.
Guptar Ghat (about 8-10 km) and Nandigram / Bharatkund (about 15 km) sit outside the core, which is why an AC cab is built into this tour - you cannot fit them into one day on foot or by shared auto.
The evening Saryu Aarti time moves with the season (roughly 5:45-6:45 PM) - we confirm the exact time for your date and seat you before it starts.
Tuesdays and Saturdays are Hanuman days, when Hanuman Garhi's queue swells - on those days we reach the 76 steps by 5:45 AM so your darshan stays unhurried.
